How Much Headroom Will I Get Above and Underneath? 

We build each bed to your exact specifications, so it depends on your ceiling height, mattress thickness and whether you are using the Standard Single or the Youth Double Safety Rails.  If you want more headroom underneath you may want to consider using our Extra Tall 83" Legs.  Use our Height Calculator to see how much headroom you will get.

   Standard: Single Safety Rail on the Front Side Only, for users that are 13 years of age or older.

   Back Safety Rail: To save space, most beds are placed up against a wall.  If however, your bed will not

      be up against a wall, we recommend a Single Safety Rail on the Back Side also.

   Youth Safety Rails:  The Youth Safety Rails are double safety rails placed on all four sides with an

      opening on one ladder end to enter the loft.  They are required for all children under the age of 13.

      Please remember the youth safety rails will lower the headroom underneath by 5".  To be sure that

If the 69" tall standard legs will not give you enough space underneath you may want to consider using

the Extra Tall 83" Legs.  Use our height calculator to see how much headroom you will get.

Do you want us to cut the Leg Height if needed?

If you have a low ceiling and have requested the Extra Tall 83" Legs, the legs might extend above the top of the safety

rails. If this is the case we can either cut them to the top of the safety rails at no charge or leave them long. If we leave

them long you can cut them yourself if needed later on. If you leave them long this allows you to be able to move the

loft to a taller room later on. Click here to see how much your legs will need to be cut down.
